Code Buddy is an AI code-generation asset for Unity.
It uses the latest OpenAI functionality and your project context. Combining the power of GPT models with custom logic, Code Budy can generate and modify scripts based on the project's existing functionality and assets. With these capabilities, it is the first AI assistant for Unity that can create complex gameplay systems.
The purpose of Code Buddy is to speed up prototyping and reduce the development time of the new game features, allowing developers to be more creative and multiplying their ability to iterate on new ideas.

Reuses code
It takes into account your existing codebase and generates code that integrates with your project. Unlike other unity assets, it does not require you to manually specify what you already have implemented and what you want to use.
No subscription
You don't need a ChatGPT Plus subscription to use it. New users of OpenAI API are granted a free quota that they can use. When it is over you will pay only for what you use.

Unlike Github Copilot, Cursor AI, or similar services, this asset does not require you to write very technical and granular prompts to produce working code.
Privacy
All context and project processing are done locally, so no code leaves your machine. The only things that are shared with OpenAI API are prompts and a compact description of the project.
OpenAI keys are encrypted and stored locally.
